Our hatching eggs come from birds raised at high elevation. Because of this, the eggs naturally develop slightly more porous shells to help with oxygen exchange during development.

When these eggs are incubated at lower elevations, this can help support strong oxygen flow to the developing chick, which may improve hatch results when humidity is properly managed.

If you are at high elevation, it’s best to buy eggs from a climate high in elevation as well. Eggs from lower elevation have less porous shells. There is less oxygen when higher up—so they need the extra-porous shell.

Please Read – Hatching Egg Policy:

I am confident in my fertility and breeding program. When handled and incubated properly, my buyers generally report strong hatch rates.

That said, I cannot guarantee hatch rates once eggs leave my hands. Many factors are outside of my control, including:

• SHIPPING handling and transit conditions

• Temperature swings during shipping

• Improper storage before setting

• Incubator accuracy (temperature/humidity calibration)

• Handling and experience level

• Power outages or equipment failure

Fertility is checked before the season starts. Even if an egg appears “clear” after incubation, that does not automatically mean it was infertile. Development can begin and stop very early due to shipping stress or incubation variables and may not always be visible when candling.

Keep in mind, natural hatch rate for this breed is not 100%. It is usually 80-85% naturally. With shipped eggs, expect less. I’ve had customers hatch more but it all depends on how they were handled & incubated.

By purchasing, you acknowledge the risks associated with shipped hatching eggs and the above terms.
